About Me

I'm Kathleen, a grad student preparing to take on the world

“3…2…1! AND THE BUCKET IS GOOD! THE CROWD GOES WILD!”There is nothing more invigorating than the feeling of success after months of hard work and training. It is the story of getting to the stage that makes the impossible, well, possible. That is where I want to be and what I want to be a part of. To aid an athlete means to provide support, gain and teach respect, assist in disciple, celebrate success and learn from losses. Sports are not just about the teams but the community built around it. When a community unites, they take pride in wins, yet together, they are humbled by losses.

I am a current graduate student at Tiffin University, Ohio pursing a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management. My goal is to work in athletic administration. Organization and communication are my best attributes when working in a team atmosphere. I have the ability to work with people who share the same passion of sports, believe in creative ways to bring sports to life, care for the well-being of the organization's athletes, and have the drive to push for a successful program. I enjoy contributing efforts for a greater purpose and exceed the expectations of tasks assigned to me.

I formerly was an assistant academic manager for an after school program. My passion for children only grows every day. I assisted in all aspects of educational help, enrichment activities and physical education and well-being. I helped over 500 students and have seen many of them go through high school and enter college. Some have even played high school basketball under my coaching. I have coached for six years, four as a head coach at the freshman level. Each year we strive to be better in our program with our past 2015-2016 season finishing third place for freshman in our league. I have experienced league titles as a former player and coach. I currently assist with the operations of the programs fundraising. I am also a personal trainer and have taken pride in my ability to help those in the community reach their fitness goals. I have been an assistant fitness manager where I was able to help people take the first steps to attaining their goals. I have serviced over 150 clients and brought in revenue through new agreements and client renewals.

I hold many passions and a key one is helping others. I am humbled by the people I surround myself with and the work they put in to help others who struggle to succeed in their life. I was fortunate to be raised by strong, Christ centered parents. The support of my family, friends and my faith is the reason why I choose to be in a field that not only provides excitement but allows me an opportunity to help build in the life of others. On my own, I enjoy fitness, music, and reading, especially motivational books. If I’m not reading, TED talks is where I get my daily dose of good wisdom!
